ONEIRONAUT's FROSTMOON ECLIPSE Cover Posted Online

September 10, 2007

ONEIRONAUT, the Atlanta, Georgia-based duo that combines its love for melodic black metal with a '90s alternative sound, has recorded a cover version of FROSTMOON ECLIPSE's "Devilish and Mournful". One of Italy's leading black metal bands, FROSTMOON ECLIPSE has always been known for producing aggressive black metal, but with melodic, acoustic interludes that have singled out the band as one of the more thoughtful and expressive exponents of the genre, thus making their music an ideal choice for ONEIRONAUT to cover. Currently the track is not set to appear on any release, and is only available to hear on ONEIRONAUT's MySpace page.

Claudio Alcara, FROSTMOON ECLIPSE's founder and guitarist, commented: "I was amazed when I heard the version that Matthew and Natt had come up with. Although 'Devilish and Mournful' is one of our less aggressive, acoustic numbers, Natt's delicate vocals have nevertheless given it a whole fragility and ethereal quality that caught me by surprise. It's almost like listening to a completely different song. I have to say that I really like what they've done with it! It brings to mind VELVET UNDERGROUND."

In related news, Alcara's STROSZEK, a three-piece band comprising Alcara on vocals and guitars, and fellow FROSTMOON ECLIPSE members Davide on bass and Richard on drums, this week released "Songs of Remorse", an acoustic album that uses melancholic, acoustic guitars to portray, in Alcara's own words "your own life's failures made music."

FROSTMOON ECLIPSE recently released its fourth album, "Another Face of Hell", tracks from which can be heard on the band's MySpace page.
